Individually designed Rooms

Each room has been individually designed and decorated with traditional luxuriously styled furniture, complimenting rugs, drapes and linen, old family paintings, pictures and portraits, and large en-suite bathrooms complete with modern facilities. For instance, Room 308 is one of the oldest suites in the property with a Jharokha (overhanging enclosed balcony) overlooking the main gate. It is believed that, in feudal times, the Princess would sit and watch all the activities in the outer courtyard where women were otherwise not allowed. Room 401 is a charming suite with a fountain and a swinging bench, and the bathroom too has its own open courtyard, featuring small alcoves with twinkling lights. Room 304 is a large twin-bedded suite, with a painted wall in the bathroom, and an open courtyard for sunbathing in privacy. Room 303 and 314 are the duplex suites in the turrets of the Castle, with their own private terraces for sun bathing. All suites have interesting colonial furniture with old family photographs and miniature paintings.

Dining

At Mandawa, simple pleasures leave a lasting impression. Begin your day with a quiet breakfast on a terrace that offers great views of distant temples and cenotaphs; followed by a leisurely lunch in the mural-painted dining room. Enjoy your evenings with sundowners in the grandeur of the verandah bar and add the perfect end to your day with an alfresco dinner under the stars, as Rajasthani folk singers and dancers perform their traditional art. Every meal becomes a memorable occasion.

One of the highlights of the stay at Castle Mandawa, Shekhawati is the royal repast. A candle-lit dinner on the lawns or around a bonfire in the rear courtyard is climaxed by the performance of a fire dancer who sways to the hypnotic beat of traditional drums.

Castle Mandawa offers authentic regional cuisine on request. Dinners can be organized on the terrace or in one of the many turrets under a star lit sky.
